Expressions Academy of Dance is proud to be the FIRST professional dance studio to offer a school program in a Pinellas County Dance Studio. Join us to see why our program has grown. Whether you are in FLVS, Pinellas Virtual School, or another program, if your like to dance, Expressions is right for you! Students who are taking multiple dance classes per week and/or who are dancing at a competitive level may wish to consider Expressions Academy of Dance Virtual School. Being an EAOD-VS student enables our dancers to complete their course work and also take some of their dance classes during the same time period that public school students are still in school. The program is most appealing to students who achive high grades and already take dance classes. The majority of our virtual school students are in honors and/or AP courses, dance competitively, and have a friendly attitude. Expressions Academy of Dance does not provide coursework instruction. Rather, the VS program provides a class instructor to help guide students through the course. Among other things, our staff will assist with Wi-Fi connections, maintaining a quiet learning environment, and checking grades weekly. Register to become an Expressions VS Student by filling out this online form. Then, contact either Pinellas County Schools or register with Florida Virtual Schools online at FLVS.net
Students will need a lap top that is able to pick-up Wi-Fi. (If you enroll in Pinellas Virtual School, you may be able to check out a laptop from their main office in Largo.)
Female Dancers will need Ballet Shoes, Black Leotard or Black Sports Bra and Black Briefs every day. Boys will need Turners, Black or White Tank and Black Shorts or Pants. Students typically arrive in the morning at 10:30 AM, already wearing their dance attire. Be sure to bring regular clothing, sneakers, and lunch money on Wednesdays, as we do travel for lunch off the premises. Wednesday lunches are typically at one of the following: Jimmy Johns, Chipotle, Village Inn, Subway, or Tripp's Diner. Students are not permitted to take a home-prepared lunch to eat with the rest of the students off site, as taking outside food into a restaurant is prohibited..
Lockers are available for EAOD-VS students, as well as all competitive level dancers at Expressions Academy of Dance. Bring your own lock.
All students will participate in studio dance performances and additional fees (for costumes) may be required. Parents of EAOD-VS students must become familiar with studio policies and understand that EAOD-VS hosting is offered as an enhancement to dancing at Expressions Academy of Dance.
